In essence, we were looking for inspirational 'vision statements'; short and uplifting stories that could best encapsulate how humanity could create a more fulfilling, meaningful and sustainable future. Those who accepted our challenge included many of the most pioneering activists and torch-bearers of our age- visionaries who are literally re-imaging a new world fro the inside out. We have collected positive messages of hope from specialists within the environmental sector, from leaders at the forefront of the social justice movement, and from scientists and spiritual teachers; each who in their own way, are contributing to the great shift and social transformation now taking place. The incredible response we received back from these visionaries, forms the backbone to what will become a series of uniquely insightful and empowering books; the first of which publishes in 2009- Visionaries for the 21st Century- 100 Words to Help Inspire the World. Visionaries is fortunate to have collected together specially commissioned written messages from an array of global inspirers such as:
